New Jersey has come up with a way to share  emergency  information using Facebook and Twitter.
Why is New Jersey using the social media and other states are not? I think that many people use their phone to call 911 for emergencies. They don't think about using social media for  emergencies. Many people have phones not everyone has access to social media. It is 2013 many ways for the public to find out about emergencies using social media.
